Radiographic positioning is based on two principles, to provide standard views that are familiar to the interpreter and to have the ability to ensure the x-ray beam is tangential to the anatomy of interest. This Archived Webinar will cover standard views of the anatomy and why each view is important for interpretation, including positioning and labeling protocols. The affects of anesthesia will be discussed along with how to recognize if an area is adequately visualized. A review of ALARA principles of radiation safety will be provided along with troubleshooting tips for when radiographic images obtained are not optimal.
