This course includes a basic overview of chemistry profiling of the exocrine pancreas and gastrointestinal tract and will cover common areas for confusion when interpreting blood work related to these organ systems. During this course we will discuss the principal laboratory tests used to assess the health status of the exocrine pancreas and the gastrointestinal tract, we will organize these tests into primary and secondary diagnostic panels, and will demonstrate the use of these diagnostic panels to recognize diseases of the exocrine pancreas and gastrointestinal tract in two clinical cases.
