Hematology - Clinical Case Presentation and CBC Data Integration

The talk will orient the veterinarian to the use of dot plots to evaluate the hematology results of their patients. Specific emphases will but placed on the red bood cell and white blood cell indices to better characterize anemia and toxic changes, respectively. This presentation is enhanced by the use of selected cases that clearly demonstrate the utility of the dot plots.

• To recognize normal RBC and WBC dotplots
• To identify regenerative, iron deficiency, and non-regenerative anemia in the RBC dotplots
• To identify left shift/toxic changes and neoplastic cells in the WBC dotplots
