Urinary tract infections (UTIs) can be difficult to diagnose and treat effectively. Unlike human patients, veterinary patients are often asymptomatic, and the urinary tract infection may be an incidental finding. This session will help guide you with the proper urine collection and submission guidelines and help you interpret culture and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) results, understand diagnostic reports, and choose the right treatment plan for your patients. This session is part 1 of the STEPs archive webinars for microbiology.
