Dogs with vector-borne disease can present with a wide range of clinical signs. Establishing a rigorous, problem-based approach enables a complete list of differential diagnoses and selection of appropriate diagnostic tests. A comprehensive, problem-based approach will be used to diagnose the challenging cases presented in this seminar.

  • Using a problem-based approach for vector-borne diseases.
  • Localizing common clinical findings associated with vector-borne diseases.
  • Generating the most likely differential diagnoses in the context of the case.
  • Selecting the most beneficial diagnostic methodologies based on the differentials and knowing when repeat testing is indicated.
