This lecture is the first in a series that describes some common developmental orthopedic ailments in small animals. Attendees will learn the most common sites for osteochondral defects in dogs, the prerequisite projections for making a diagnosis of these diseases, and some supplemental projections for diagnosing suspected developmental orthopedic diseases. Additionally, attendees will learn how radiographic technique and positioning can affect the ability to make a definitive diagnosis.
